Our December

Kate has started to give me this smile. I can't help but laugh each time, she knows she is being cheesy but she does it anyway. BUT she is also a trouble maker, she has pushed our tree over three times, once onto herself, and this is how it looks after the third time and I didn't care how is looked anymore.

At Brian's christmas party we recieved this huge purple hippo for our white elephant gift. Kate loves it as do the boys but you can see who feels the most love for her hippo.

Zane eating the cookie he decorated at the christmas party, I think he dumped half a bottle of sprinkles on it.Yummy!!!

Tyler asked santa for a lego star wars game and star war toys, not a surprise.

Santa came to the Residency that Brian works at and as you can see Kate was not impressed with Santa and wanted nothing to do with him. Zane asked for a Thomas the Tank Engine station and loved seeing Santa.

Here is Kate's face squished against the baby rail on Zane's bed. She has just figured out how to climb onto his bed all by herself.
She is very proud of herself. She was bouncing and giggling when I found her on the bed.

She also loves chocolate chip cookies......ALOT!!!

We got up early Christmas morning so Brian could see the kids open presents before he went to work. We got a present when he got to come home early, at least Christmas wasn't so lame after all. It was nice to get as much time as we had with him. He has been pretty busy, if only people won't let themselves get so sick!

Crazy kids.....

SO I bought a fisher price nativity for the kids to play with and for teaching purposes. Well I found the nativity after Zane had gotten done playing with it and this is what I found. Apparently the Millenium Flacon (star wars) has landed in teh nativity and is rejoicing the birth of Christ.

Here is Kate with her daddy, she has become quite attached lately which is really cute and melts her daddys heart.

And here is the little trouble maker again. SHe likes to play under the christmas tree and with the light socket, not the best idea. She is getting better about not going under there anymore but its still cute.

What goes on in the mind of a three year old?

<
So this is Zane. Zane is three years old a the funniest kid I know. Some of the things that he says are the craziest and funniest things ever. For example.....

Tyler came home from school today with a gingerbread house that he made at school. Zane sees it and says to Tyler "Can I eat some?" Tyler of course says no and tells Zane to leave it alone. I watch Zane salivate over the house for a while and finally he asks Tyler again if he can try some. Ty says no again and then takes a candycane off the house and eats it in front of Zane. Tyler and I are in the living room and a few minutes later Zane comes in as well. He comes over to me with the most guilty look on his face and smiles. I look at him and ask, "What did you do?" He smiles, and pulls his hand away from his mouth, smiles, and while looking sideways at Tyler shows me the candy cane that he got off of the gingerbread house of Tyler's. Well there isn't much I could do with it already in his mouth and watch him chew as fast as he can watching Tyler with caution the entire time. Finally finished he smiles at me now covered in pink sticky candy cane. I tell him to go wash up and then a minute later he runs in with another candy cane and a smile. This time I catch him in time and have him put it back. THEN, about five minutes later Zane looks at me and says, "Mom I want to do something nice for Tyler. What can I do?" I tell him to give Ty a hug and suddenly a huge frown comes on his face. " Tyler, I am sooo sorry I eat your house, I am soooo sorry, but it looked very good." Tyler didn't seem to realize what happened and so I said "Tyler, Zane is trying to apologize." Tyler is now very confused and so I explain that Zane got a candy cane off of his house and ate it. Seeing that Tyler was going to get mad I asked him to listen to Zane again. Zane says, " I am so sorry I ate your house it was so delicious I couldn't help it. I am so sorry." I am watching trying really hard not to laugh, but really it was so cute! He felt so bad but couldn't resist the delicious temptation.

Another case..... I am downstairs watching Kate play with toys and Zane walks down and says. "What are you doing mommy?" I say,"I'm watching Kate play, what are you doing?" He says. " I am too......no....I'm three......but I am too....... no I am three." This went on for a few minutes until I finally stopped him and told him I knew what he meant, he then sighed releaved and walks away.

Zane talks randomly in his sleep, he says some of the following things...... "I need, I need, chocolate bunnies," or "I don't like bunnies", or "I nam so funny".

"HI, my name is Zane, this is my baby brother Tyler and my sister Kate."

- He loves to hold my hair when he gets tired or sad, or when he crawls into bed with us in the morning.
He sometimes falls asleep in a different place then he started.

I almost tripped on him when I found him in the hallway. He likes to sneak out of bed and sleep on the floor in my room, however he didn't make it this time.
I always wonder what it would be like to be three again. Everything seems simple and fun. Oh to spend a day in their heads.

Turkey Trot

The morning of Thanksgiving Brian and I ran in the Pocatello Turkey Trot. Its the first fun/run I have done and the first run Brian and I have done together. I have just started running and it is strictly for weight loss purposes, I don't find it fun and exhilarating yet. Nevertheless, it was fun despite the 19 degrees and it being in the morning. I don't like to run in the morning, I just don't work right yet, I need the day to get things moving. Brian did awesome having a personal best of 22 minutes and I came in at 37 minutes it was a 5K by the way and the first time I have run outdoors (I am a treadmill girl, especially in the cold). Anyway it was fun to do something with Brian and I think we might try to do more in the spring.

Thanksgiving

Here are my parents with baby Kye (kyle's youngest).
Here is Derek and Jennifer and one of their boys Talon

Here is Zane rockin out on the guitar

Here is the young band in practice, Jaeda (kyle), talon (derek) zane, and the little redhead with his back to us is Teegan (kaysie).

Here are the big boys playing with their expert skills!
Thanksgiving was at my house this year for the Gunter family, I finally have a place big enough to house all of us. With 10 adults and 9 kids under 5 things were busy but thankfully I have a basement where we could send the kids to play giving the adults more space and a little more quiet. We had a great dinner and then played Derek's rock band a little, the kids even got in on the fun. I don't have a picture of everyone but hopefully I'll get one and then you'll see what my parents started!

Here is Brek (derek), zane, Jaeda (kyle), Talon (derek), and Ty

Uncle Wyatt

Aunt Sheena

Kaysie trying her hardest to play drums

All in all I think everything turned out very nice and it was great to have everyone in the same place again.

Finally......

So I am proud to say and somewhat embarrassed to admit that I have finally finished Tyler's first year of life in scrapbooking. I have other parts of years here and there done, a few pages of Zane and one of Kate done. Needless to say I have some catching up to do, we took a lot of pictures of him that first year. The reason behind the motivation to get more done all of the sudden is that I found a new paper booklet that I really want but Brian won't let me buy more paper until I use what I have (I have a paper collecting problem, I love pretty paper!!). Any who, not a huge announcement but a great accomplishment for me in teh scrapbooking area. If I could just get into digital scrapbooking things would pick up I think, oh well things to look forward to someday.

October flew by....

October flew by .....seriously where did it go? Well here is what we did in October. We finally finished our bathroom. We love it we even went shopping at TJMaxx and found things to decorate it with ( although you can see it in this picture).

The other night we had our ward trunk or treat and of course Brian was working (he's delivering babies right now) and I took all the kids by myself. Tyler is Obi Wan form Star Wars ( and would get offended if people asked who he was, because everyone should know), Zane is a ghost (the nice kind, he told everyone one), and Kate is a bumble bee. I borrowed Kate's costume from a lady in our ward I think its totally cute. Just a year ago she was only a few weeks old and couln't go because it was too cold and now she gets to dress up too! Girls are way funnier than boys to dress up by the way.

SO anyway, Brian is doing his OB rotation right now and on call every third night so we see him a little but it depends on how much sleep he gets at work. Ty is doing great in school and loving it and Zane, Kate, and I are just enjoying long nights and longer days together!

Feelin great in 8

So things are going well. Brian and I have started a program called Feel Great in 8. Its basically a 8 week program that focuses on goals and getting yourself into shape physically and spiritually. I talked Brian into doing it with me because i do better with things like this when i have a little friendly competition. So far so good, I am done five pounds and starting to feel better. I have put myself on the back burner for to long and it was starting to affect my health in more ways than one. I am now on a good streak of exercise and taking time for me and loving it. (No pain No gain) I am running/walking about three days a week and playing volleyball once a week which is a blast. So wish me luck by the holidays I am hoping to be done 10 more pounds. I know i can I know i can i know i can

Our house

Our bedroom
Living Room

Dining room

Kitchen

Kate's room
Well here is most of our house. I didn't stage it tp look spotless and clean, it wouldn't fool anyone. With three kids and a busy husband a spotless house is only a thing of my dreams. I didn't take a pictures of the boys room because its never clean and its nothing great (no decor) and I didn't take a picture of the basement because I forgot and because it only has a treadmill and toys in it again, nothing to brag about. Our house is nothing glamourous but I am trying to pick up things to decorate with here and there but the budget is tight and I am not known for being crafty. Our bathroom is almost done and then I will post that, I'm excited to have a bath tub again, its been weeks and the kids are now officially scared of the shower.

Hogle Zoo

Brian had a rare week off and so we tried to cram as much in to one week as possible. First on the list was the Hogle Zoo. Since the zoo has had so many new babies come this year we went to enjoy the babies and as part of Kate's birthday. The baby elephant was so so very cute I could have stood there all day and watched it, it was so little compared to its mother. Tyler said his favorite part of the elephants was watching the mom elephant drop a few "gifts" on the ground. (He's such a boy its gross). Zane loved the baby giraffe and the fact that you can get so close to its head by climbing to the second story. We went to the zoo with Derek and his family and had a great time. It was a short trip but nice to get away and do something fun and different. Plus it was conference weekend and nice to hear the prophets and spend time together.
HAppy Birthday Kate!!!!!
