Ok, so its been a while but this is what we did for the 4th. This year we stayed in Idaho Falls and went to the parade at 9 in the morning. It was so hot already it was crazy but hte kids had fun and got a lot of candy. Tyler wanted to save all the candy and Zane wanted to eat every piece he picked up.
I think the boys got tired towards the end but got really excited again when some bikers came and did tricks on a ramp in front of them.
After the parade we went home to try to catch a nap before going over to my brother Derek's house for a bbq. They just got a trampoline and the kids were in seventh heaven. Whats better than a tramp and water? So after the picnic we let the kids play until the were tired and loaded them in the car to go see the fireworks. We set up post over by the airport, we had a good view and weren't too crowded by people. Tyler was so excited to see the fireworks and then they started and he said they were too loud and bright. He made it through the show but fell asleep the second we strapped him into the car. Zane took a little nap before the fireworks and got up to see the noise and then went back to bed. They had a great time and Brian had the whole day off to spend the day with us. No babies for him on the 4th.
My brother also got the guitar hero version for the Wii ( I don't know my game terminology)It's pretty much Brian's favorite thing to do in the whole world now. He and my brother can play for hours.
